Tips from our resident physician in A Guava A Day:
- Work in a well-lit, well-ventilated environment
- Study continuously to bring the level of working knowledge in balance with the continuous rise in the job expectations
- Have a clear and efficient job description with realistically timed deadlines
- Maintain good cooperation and delegation skills
- Check current priorities daily and balance proposed goals and available time/resources
- Regular physical exercise (it is better to perform the physical exercises before big intellectual efforts)
- Afternoon rest and at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep during the night (sleep before 11pm)
- Set at least a few days off per semester
- Make time for friends and family
- Find “a balance between the rest and active periods, and between pleasant and not so pleasant activities”
